On The Run With Nothing But An Appetite For Lust and Seduction (Chapter 5)

About 30 minutes into The Blackout’s turn to sound check. Emily was helping Jay unpack the merch, and was sent in search of a missing box of ‘IMakeDirtyLove’ tshirts.
She was making her way through the corridor backstage to go out the back door to look in the van, she heard footsteps behind her.
“Emily!” She turned, Ian was following her.
“Hey” She smiled as he got closer. Ian smiled back.
“You not taking pictures are the sound check?” he asked as he followed her towards the van.
“Nah, im only being payed for live photos, and i already have loads of them sound checking, Sean is bound to run out of poses sooner or later…”
“You’re gonna take pictures of us though, right?”
“Yeah, course.” She smiled at him, as she opened the van’s doors.
“Oh.” No box.
“What?”
“Theres a box missing of tshirt’s… Maybe Jay left one at home or something..”
She locked the van up again, and walked back inside.
She could feel Ian’s eyes on her as he walked behind her.
“Did you really sleep with Sean at that London show?”
Emily stopped walking, and turned to look at him, “What? … Oh no. He just, ah, looked after me, took me home, and slept on my sofa.”
Ian looked slightly relived. He watched as she ran her fingers through her hair, pulling her fringe back from her face, then letting is fall back again. Ian, without thinking, put his hand up and pushed her fringe out of her eyes.
Emily felt her heart quicken slightly, as he moved closer.
He was gazing into her eyes, his hand dropped to the side of her neck and traced her jawline with his thumb.
Emily stared at him, willing him silently to move closer, as his thumb lightly traced around her lips, he began to lean in…
“Emily! Did you find it yet?”
Ian took a step back, as Jay came around the corner.
“Oh, Ian, their looking for you, you’re turn to sound check.”
Ian nodded and walked back down the corridor.
Jay looked at Emily, and raised his eyebrows.
“What?” Emily felt like she’d just woken up from a dream she thought was real, feeling slightly confused.
“Did you find the missing box?” Jay asked again impatiently.
“Oh. Um, no the vans empty.”
“Shit..” Jay mumbled as he walked off, leaving Emily leaning against the wall replaying what had just happened between her and Ian.
After a few moments, she smiled, and walked back towards the stage where Ian and the rest of Lostprophets where sound checking.

She took out her camera, and began taking pictures, Ian noticed her, and posed every now and then, with a devilish grin on his face.
30 minutes later, they had finished.
Sean and Ian went back to the dressing room, while Emily and everyone else made their way towards the bar to hang out before the doors opened.

When they reached the venue, Ian rushed inside mumbling something about needed the loo.
“Im gonna go find my hotel and check in so i can dump some of my stuff…”
“Oh, ill come with you.” Sean smiled “I have a feeling Ian won’t mind being left alone.” He laughed to himself.
“Mhm.” Emily didn’t really getting what he was laughing at. She looked around at him, he really did have the most adorable smile, she thought. “Is Ian normally so quiet?”
“Urrm. His moods tend to shift easily, from loud and attention seeking to quiet and thoughtful. Like just now, when we were on the platform, he was joking around with me, then after we sat down, he went really quiet. Sometimes its hard to tell, what kind of mood he’s in, he tends to hide his feelings alot.”
“You don’t think it had anything to do with me being there do you?” Asked Emily worried she might had annoyed him or something.
“Maybe” Sean shrugged. “So, how does it feel meeting the guy you’ve had a crush on since you were 15..?” glancing at her with a cheeky smile.
“Shut up, Sean…” Emily hit him lightly, returning his playful smile.
“Emily and Ian, Sitting in a tree, K-i-s-s-i-n- ARGH!” Emily hit him again, harder this time. He giggled to himself, as they entered the reception of Abis.

After she’d checked in, and dumped her other bag with spare clothes and toiletries. Sean and Emily headed towards Subway to get food.
They headed back to the venue, and sat on the dressing room floor, eating and catching up.
“Seriously Sean, I put on a nearly half a stone last month just from eating all the shit you guys eat…”
“Oh, I thought your tits looked bigger..”
“Sean!” Emily gasped and hit him again. “You’re such a perv..”
“Yeah, but you like it.” They both laughed, as Emily hit him again.
“Alright, kids, break it up..” They looked round to see Gavin and Snoz, from The Blackout and Jamie from Lostprophets walking in with KFC. Sean introduced Emily and Jamie, as they all sat down to eat and chat.
About 10 minutes later Ian walked in and sat next to Jamie to steal some of his food.
He seems less moody now, thought Emily watching him argue jokingly with Jamie over his KFC.
He caught her watching, and smiled.
They all hung out there for about 2 hours, the rest of The Blackout and Lostprophets joined them, until it was time for them to do their sound check about a hour and a half before the show was due to start at 7.30.

Ian POV

Ian followed Sean onto the train, and down the aisle towards some spare seats. Sean stopped and looked, at the girl sitting in the seat opposite where they were going to sit.
“Emily?” Sean asked. She didn’t reply, just carried on gazing out of the window.
“Um… Emily?” Said Sean a little louder this time, and waved his hands around.
“EMILY!?” Still no response. Sean frowned “She probably daydreaming…” he said rolling his eyes.
Sean had told Ian about Emily when they were in Europe. All of The Blackout had actually now that Ian thought about it. They had all said she was a brilliant photographer, and that she was ‘interesting’ that’s how they had described her. Ian had never asked what was so interesting about her, but looking at her gazing into the distance, he found he couldn’t take his eyes off her.
She jumped suddenly, making Ian jump slightly.
“Sean!”
He laughed as he sat down and Ian sat down next to him. “We tried to get your attention, but you were right out of it… Oh, um, Emily, Ian, Ian, Emily.” Sean introduced them.
Ian took off his sunglasses. “Hey.” He smiled.
“Hi.” she smiled back for a second then quickly took her sunglasses off, and put them in her bag.Her eyes are stunning.. thought Ian trying not to stare at her too much, in case he made her feel uncomfortable, so he looked out of the window on the otherside of the train.
“How are ya?” Sean asked “Havent seen you since… That London show, well no, the morning after wasn’t it?”
Ian looked round, eyebrows raised. He failed to mention that about her… he thought. Sean just laughed. And carried on talking to Emily.
Ian couldn’t help but just watch her, every facial expression, every movement. She laughed, and talked confidently, but when Ian focused on her eyes, he could see something, he wasn’t sure exactly what, but some kind of pain that ran deep, something dark. Something she had become a master at covering up. Kind of like Ian had with some of his past…
Or maybe he was imagining it, out of hope that he would one day find someone he could share everything with, and they would just get it.
He shook his head slightly. I was just imagining it, I must be. he thought as he watched her laughing at something Sean had said.
But still he couldn’t take his eyes off her. For different reasons this time.
She’s beautiful. Ian thought, as he looked he up and down. Her long blonde hair, her deep blue eyes, her lips that pouted slightly. His gaze went down her neck, he took in what she was wearing, he smiled when he saw the name of his own band emblazoned across her chest, she’d cut off the arms, to make it into a vest, and cut out the neck just so i was low enough to see a slight hint of cleavage, he watched her chest rise and fall as she breathed for a moment, the tshirt clung slightly around her breasts, then hung loose…
Ian could feel himself getting quite aroused as he lost himself in thoughts of brushing her hair out of her face, gazing into those eyes, kissing those lips, biting and nibbling down that neck…
When he felt Sean poking him in his ribs, he jumped and got up, the train had pulled into Cardiff station, he desperately tried to put his thoughts to the back of his head as he realised an increasing tightness in his already fairly tight jeans.

As they all got off and started walking towards the venue, Sean and Emily still talking. Ian noticed that the tshirt turned vest clung a bit around her hips too revealing her tiny waist in-between, he cleared his throat and put his sunglasses on, tried to put those thoughts out of his head, at least until they reached the venue. But still he couldn’t stop watching her as she, and Sean walked slightly ahead of him.

On The Run With Nothing But An Appetite For Lust and Seduction (Chapter 2)

As the train pulled into yet another small welsh town, Emily looked at her watch again, 15 minutes. The time seemed to be passing to slowly for her liking. Emily didn’t like waiting, for anything.
She skipped a couple of songs on her ipod before settling for ‘I Know You Are But What Am I?’ by The Blackout, and then started gazing out of the window again as the train set off, loosing herself in a daydream.
A couple of moments later, she felt someone moving her legs off the seat opposite, she looked round about to glare at the person doing so, when she saw a bright blonde fringe recognising it immediately, she pulled out her headphones and
“Sean!”
He laughed as he sat down. “We tried to get your attention, but you were right out of it.”
We… Emily thought, as she looked round to she who was sitting down next to Sean, expecting to see Jay Smith, Sean’s younger brother. But instead was a man with jet black hair, wearing sunglasses, and a I Make Dirty Love tshirt.
Emily for got how to breath. Ian Watkins..! she quickly straightened up, and ran her hand through her hair.
“Oh, um, Emily, Ian, Ian, Emily” Sean quickly introduced them, while looking at Emily with a slight glint in his eye, Emily remember she had once told him, while fairly drunk, that she’d had a crush on Ian Watkins since she was 15 and had regular fantasy’s about him, she began to hate the fact that Sean didn’t drink and therefore he remembered everything Emily said when she was drunk.
“Hey.” Ian took of his sunglasses and smiled.
“Hi.” Emily replied, slightly breathlessly. She suddenly felt very concious of the fact she was still wearing her sunglasses so took them off, and put them and her ipod in her bag.
“How are ya?” Sean asked “Havent seen you since… That London show, well no, the morning after wasn’t it?”
Ian looked round, eyebrows raised. Sean just laughed, clearly not going to put him straight, on what actually happened, he glanced at Emily, she knew him well enough to know that glance meant ‘just go along with it..’ She smiled.
“Yeah, its been a while… Im good though, you? How was Europe?”
As Sean launched into a monologue about their Europe tour, Emily listened intently, feeling jealous, as she was desperate to travel, but didn’t have the money to do it yet. All the time she could feel Ian’s gaze resting on her, watching her every movement, but never saying a word.

Sean and Emily talked until the train came to a standstill at Cardiff station, they got off, and headed towards the venue. Sean still chattering away, with Ian saying nothing but still watching Emily intently.

On The Run With Nothing But An Appetite For Lust and Seduction (Chapter 1)

A dark place in the light of this city,
I know this feeling that I keep buried inside,
Wont retreat or delete it ends tonight,
Oh, The dull pain that remains isn’t pretty,
Im being smothered by the flames I ignite,
Oh, My city is burning tonight.

So hows it gonna feel,
When I leave this town,
Broken, burning with the memories that we once found,
Im outta time,
And I, I’m outta place,
And I left a love I can’t replace,
To find home.

Emily sighed. ‘A Better Nothing’ was her favourite song off Lostprophets new album, she loved the lyrics, but she wished she understood them better, she had her own take on it, but she couldn’t help but wonder what Ian Watkins was actually writing about…

She was on a train to Cardiff, she looked at her watch, she had about 30 minutes until she got there. She got out her compact and her make-up bag, and started touching up her eye-liner, and put more face powder on.
She felt she didn’t look to bad today, even though it was far to hot on the train and it felt like her make-up was sliding down her face.
She had a good feeling about tonight, she was going to another of The Blackout’s gigs, to take photos, she had been commissioned to go to this gig by Rock Sound magazine, it was her first official job as a music photographer.
She was excited to see The Blackout again too, she had recently been following them around the country taking pictures unofficially and had got to know them quite well, she was especially close to Sean who had looked after her at one gig in London after getting very drunk and depressed as the boy she had been seeing called her and ended it. She hadn’t seen them for about a month while they were touring Europe with Lostprophets.

She scrunched her hair, and applied some lip balm. Then shoved her make-up and her cardigan back into her bag after deciding she definitely wouldn’t be needing it.
She put her sunglasses on and flicked back through her ipod and put ‘A Better Nothing’ on again, sat back listened to it while staring out at the Welsh countryside that was passing outside the window.

I love these because Ian, Alex and Sean are my favourite people. Ever consider throwing Josh Franceschi in anywhere?

I can do. I may do a Josh one shot actually. :)

Gotta Catch My Breath (Chapter 6)

She was there, sitting on the sofa, as she had just minutes ago.
Wearing a oversized blue and white striped vest, black leggings, and sandles.
Her long blonde hair fell down almost to her waist, straight yet tousled, like she hadn’t brushed it that morning.
The smoky black makeup around her eyes made Alex go straight to them, they were a deep, dark blue. ‘Like the ocean’ Alex thought.
Her perfectly pink lips curved into a smile as Alex took all of her in.
He noticed for the first time the tattoos on her wrists, on her left she had a peace symbol, a heart and a music note, and on her right she had ‘Life’, how hadn’t he noticed them before?
He went back to her eyes, he felt he could get lost in them.
“Come here..” she whispered in the British accent that made Alex’s heart melt, and held out a hand.
He moved over to her and took her hand, she pulled him towards her. He was just inches from her face, she smiled again.
Alex felt like all breath had left his body, as he leaned in closer, and felt her wrap her arms around his neck.
She closed her eyes, Alex got closer, and closer…

“ALEX! Dude! Come on… WAKE UP!”
Alex woke up abruptly. It took him a second to figure out where he was.
“Come ON! The others are already backstage! We should have gone on 5 minutes ago!”
“Wha… yeah ok. Im coming now..”
Still feeling slightly confused, he sat up, desperately trying to remember the whole dream. He could remember her tattoos, her eyes, and the feeling of her breath on his lips.
“ALEX!”
“Yeah, alright!” Alex followed Zack off the bus, and ran towards the stage, still clinging onto the image of her about to kiss him in his mind.
